Thattathin Marayathu is an upcoming Malayalam musical romance film written and directed by Vineeth Sreenivasan, starring Nivin Pauly and Isha Talwar in the lead roles. While the supporting cast is played up by Aju Varghese, Manoj K. Jayan, Sreenivasan, Sunny Wayne, Bhagath Manuel, Manikuttan, Niveda Thomas along with a list of new debutant actors.

The film is produced by Mukesh and Sreenivasan under the banner of Lumiere Film Company. The music is composed by Shaan Rahman, while the cinematography is handled by Jomon T. John, and the editing is by Ranjan Abraham. Distribution of the film is done by LJ Films.

The story is about a Hindu boy Vinod who falls in love with a Muslim girl Aisha.

ProductionThattathin Marayathu is Vineeth Sreenivasan's second directorial venture, who made a successful his debut with Malarvaadi Arts Club. Thattathin Marayathu is being produced by his father Sreenivasan's production house Lumiere Films. Costumes are designed by Sameera Saneesh, Art by Ajay Mangad, Social Media promoter-Mohammed Abdul Kalam (kalam kalamz) and Make up done by Hassan Vandoor.

 

CastingNivin Pauly, Aju Varghese, Bhagath Manuel were casted once again to work with Vineeth Sreenivasan due to their friendship, while Isha Talwar was introduced by the cameraman Jomon T. John and was selected. Isha Talwar took a four month voice training class and went through a course to learn Malayalam to ensure her debut was smooth. Ahmed Siddique was chosen to play a very similar character like the one he played in the film Salt N' Pepper as K. T. Mirash, Although the differences are he plays a typical Muslim guy with an impeccable Thalassery accent. Sunny Wayne who played a notable role in Second Show is playing a significant role in this film. Many of the new actors where chosen by an audition.

FilmingThe film began its shooting in April 2012 at Thalassery and Kannur. Jomon T. John is the director of photography; he had recently showed his talent in films such as Chappa Kurishu which had Vineeth Sreenivasan playing one of the lead roles and Beautiful which starred Jayasurya.
